What is WrappedDozen?

A gift exchange that lasts for weeks instead of five minutes. Everyone swaps wrapped mystery drinks, opens one at a time on a schedule, and guesses who brought each one.

The short version

In a group of 12, each person buys 12 of the same beer (or cider, wine, seltzer, mocktail — anything). They wrap all 12 and write their secret number on each one. At exchange night everyone swaps, so you go home with 12 different mystery drinks, one from each friend.

Then the countdown starts. WrappedDozen tells everyone which number to open in each window — weekly, every weekend, daily, or whatever the group picks. You drink it whenever suits you, rate it, and guess whose it was. The admin reveals the answer and the leaderboard shows the group's favourites.

Any number of people, any purpose, any time period

There's no minimum or maximum crew. Six people means six drinks each, twenty means twenty each — the only rule is that everyone brings one for every person in the group.

It isn't only a Christmas thing either. Groups run it for birthdays, weddings, stags and bachelorettes, office swaps, wine clubs, or nothing in particular — just a reason to keep the chat alive. Pick your own item (beers, wines, ciders, seltzers, teas, hot sauces) and your own calendar: weekly, every weekend, alternating Fri–Sun / Mon–Thu, daily, or spread evenly between two dates you choose. A countdown can run two weeks or six months.

Why people love it

How is it different from Secret Santa or White Elephant?

Secret Santa gives each person one gift from one person. White Elephant is a single evening of stealing gifts. WrappedDozen gives every person a gift from everyone, and stretches the fun over the whole season — like a homemade advent calendar for adults.

What the app does for you

FAQ

How many people can play?

Any number. Two works, twelve is the classic, and bigger groups are fine too. Everyone brings one drink per person in the group, so the shopping list scales with your crew.

Does it have to be for Christmas?

No. Christmas is the most popular, but the same setup works for birthdays, weddings, office swaps, or any reason you want one.

How long does it run?

As long as you like. Set a start date, an end date and a pace — weekly, weekends, daily or spread evenly — and the app builds the schedule around them.

Does everyone need an account?

No. Members join with a code and pick their name. Only the creator enters an email, so we can send them their codes.

Does it have to be beer?

Not at all. Groups choose their own word — beers, drinks, wines, ciders, seltzers, or something custom like hot sauces or teas.

Does it cost anything?

WrappedDozen is free. You only pay for what you bring.

Ready to start your own?

Free, no accounts. Set it up in about two minutes.
